I want to just take soup to work this week and want something I can put together quickly today to just take this week. Any tips? Only tried and tested recipes, please.

Here is my 2 favored soups and I consider they are both simple.

Tomato-Basil Soup (Spicy or not, your alternative)
Serves two

Substances:
one/two small onion, minimize in chunks
1 clove garlic
two teaspoons olive oil
one teaspoon dried basil
salt and pepper
one can tomato soup
about three/4 cup complete milk
about 3/4 cup half and 50 % or weighty cream
1 teaspoon of your preferred very hot sauce (optional)
2 sprigs clean basil, chopped
spoonful of sour cream (optional)
one sprig fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Directions:
Put onion and garlic in a food processor or blender and mix to a smooth puree. Place olive oil in a small pot and high temperature on medium very low. Include pureed onions and garlic, dried basil, salt and pepper. Saute for a couple of minutes to incorporate flavors. Will not allow it flip brown at all. Include tomato soup. Fill can 1/two way with milk and to the top rated with half and half or cream. Pour into pot. Add very hot sauce, if preferred and whisk soup until finally heated via. Include chopped refreshing basil and stir. Top rated with a dollop of sour cream (if preferred) and a leaf of refreshing basil.
Notice: This recipe can be very easily doubled, tripled or more!

minestrone soup
(can make three quarts)

ingredients:
2 tbl. olive oil
two tbl. butter
two lg. onions, minced
six cloves garlic, minced
3 lg. carrots, diced
4 lg. celery stalks, diced
1 lg. green bell pepper, diced
1 tbl. dried oregano
1 tbl. dried basil
two tsp. dried marjoram
1 tsp. dried thyme
¼ tsp. red pepper flakes
salt and pepper, to taste
one cup beef or chicken stock
one lg. can, complete peeled tomatoes
(reduce tomatoes up into significant items and place back in can with juice)
one qt. tomato juice
¾ cup dried pasta (ditalini)
one cup canned kidney beans
med. size chunk of good parmesan
six refreshing basil tops

approach:
heat olive oil and butter in a large pot. add onion, garlic, carrots, celery, and green pepper. cover pot and saute fifteen minutes or until finally veggies are soft. include oregano, basil, marjoram, thyme, pepper flakes, salt and pepper. stir and cook 5 much more minutes. add stock, tomatoes and juice. stir, go over and simmer 1 hour. include pasta and beans simmer ten-15 minutes, or till pasta is cooked. ladle into bowls and grate parmesan on top. garnish with basil leaf and serve.
